Cookies with Santa
If you would like to share a special baked treat, please drop it off between 2:00 – 2:30 on Sunday.
Take photos with Santa by the tree
-no reservation required

Carriage Ride
15 minute ride in a horse-drawn carriage
* Each carriage will have its own reservation list. Your reservation confirmation will include the carriage #, reservation time, and the number of scheduled riders.
** Each carriage has a limit of six (6) riders. We cannot accommodate additional family and friends that you bring with you.

We need volunteers for this event. If you would like to help, please email the HOA at [email protected]. For our high school volunteers, you will receive Give Me Five credit.

Lock It. Hide It. Keep It

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has launched the Lock It. Hide It. Keep It. campaign aimed at informing our residents this holiday shopping season of the precautions they can take to prevent becoming victims of auto related property crimes.

The message is simple:
•Lock It: Lock your vehicle every time you leave it unattended and always lock your valuables in the trunk.
•Hide It: If you don’t have a trunk, hide valuables under the seats, in the glove box, or other compartments within the vehicle.
•Keep It: Personal responsibility is the best prevention to safeguard personal property and to prevent becoming a victim.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will be reaching out to local neighborhood associations and apartment complexes to spread the word. This campaign was originally launched by the Los Angeles Police Department in 2010, and has proven successful within law enforcement jurisdictions across the country.

In response to the initiative, Sheriff Curry said, “Our greatest resource in keeping our communities safe is the partnership we have with our citizens. It is my hope that this effort will remind our residents to be watchful and safeguard their valuables, which I suspect will have a negative impact on property crimes involving vehicles.”

The Sheriff’s Office would like to encourage all residents to report suspicious behavior to their local law enforcement agency. You may contact the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office at phone number (205) 669-4181 or use the Sheriff’s Office website to report crime tips www.shelbyso.com. In the event of emergencies dial 911.

"It's Christmas time and lights are dancing in Eagle Point!

Should you still need to boost your Christmas spirit, why not drive by 1098 Eagle Valley Drive in Eagle Point to see our modest Christmas display? Your little ones will love the lights and the music! The show normally runs every day from 5:30 to 9:30 pm (will run longer during weekend, Christmas Eve and Christmas day).

Please be respectful of our neighbors; they are wonderful and we want to keep them happy. Please do not block driveways and keep your radio on low volume. Remember to drive and park safely! Happy Holidays!"

Christmas Decorations

It seems every year during this time residents of Eagle Point has problems with people stealing Christmas decorations their front yards. If you see anything suspicious please call the Sheriff’s office or 911 immediately.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Shelby County will recycle live Christmas trees from December 26th, 2013 through January 4th, 2014. Heardmont Park on Hwy 119, will be the nearest drop off for our residents.

Residents, please remember that our neighborhood and public signage are not intended for your personal use to attach posters concerning lost pets. The posters are not only unsightly but the tape bakes in the sun and can cause permanent damage. Please send your messages to [email protected] so that we can properly relay your notice to the community. Your message will be broadcast via email to all recipients of the Eagle Pointer newsletter. Special bulletins can be sent out for issues that require immediate attention.

Pet Sitter for the Holidays!

My name is Lauren ..... and I am a sophomore at Auburn University studying Pre-Vet Animal Sciences. I will be home for the holidays and would love to take of your animals for you! I have been working seasonally at Riverview Animal Clinic as a Kennel Technician since 2011. I am comfortable taking care of cats, dogs, and exotics and am capable of administering oral medications and injections. Advantages to having someone pet sit rather than board your animal include: •pet stays in familiar environment with their regular routine
