Eagle Point: Holiday Events

Cookies with Santa and Carriage Rides

Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM

Cookies with Santa, 3-7PM

Come see Santa, bring your camera and take pictures by the tree and enjoy some cookies

-no reservation required

We will need baked goods for the event. Please send an email at [email protected] to let us know what you can bring.

Carriage Rides, 3-5PM AND 6-8PM

15 minute ride in a horse-drawn carriage

We have one carriage this year. Reservations are required and the schedule will fill-up quickly.

Information to include in your email: name, EP address, contact phone, requested time, reservation to include no more than 2 adults and number of children (and children’s ages please)

Our goal in scheduling is to have as many children ride as possible. Adult reservations may be limited to allow more children to ride. If necessary, we will limit one adult per family.

*This event will not be rescheduled if we have bad weather.

We need volunteers for this event. If you would like to help, please email the HOA at [email protected]. For our high school volunteers, you will receive Give Me Five credit.

ATTENTION EAGLE POINT HOMEOWNERS

There have been an unfortunate number of mailbox vandalism incidents in the neighborhood in the last few days. The HOA regrets that this is happening in our community and is committed to stopping the vandalism and holding those responsible accountable. We have been working with the Shelby County Sheriff’s department and the HOA is offering a $500 reward for information resulting in the arrest and prosecution of those responsible. Someone in the neighborhood must know something.

Destroying mailboxes can have serious federal consequences. Title 18, Section 1705 of the United States Code makes it a federal crime to vandalize mailboxes, as well as injuring, destroying or defacing any mail that's placed in them. Each act of vandalism carries maximum penalties of up to $250,000 in fines and up to three years in prison

Below are photos of some of the damaged mailboxes. Each mailbox repair is costing between $200 and $500 and that’s hard on anyone’s budget, but particularly around the holidays. If you have any information please contact the HOA office.

If your mailbox has been vandalized or is vandalized in the next few days please call the Shelby County Sheriff’s office or call 911. It is important to report any incidents and to get a police report. Please let the HOA office know if you have been a victim and please send or bring a copy of your police report to the HOA office.
