Happy Holidays Eagle Point!!!

CARRIAGE RIDE AND COOKIES WITH SANTA

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10th 4-7PM

Cookies with Santa, 4-7PM

Santa Claus is coming to Eagle Point, and can't wait to eat cookies with the Eagle Point Kiddos! Reservations not required for the cookies...just come and have a merry time and don't forget your camera for that special Christmas Shot! We will need BAKED GOODS for the event. Please send an email to [email protected] to let us know what you can bring.

Carriage Rides, 4-7PM

Please make your reservation for Eagle Point's 15 minute horse-drawn carriage ride. There will only be one carriage this year. Reservations will fill up quickly so make sure to schedule immediately by emailing our Admin at [email protected] Please include: name, EP address, contact phone, requested time, reservation to include no more than 2 adults and number of children (and childrens ages please)

Our goal in scheduling is to have as many children ride as possible. Adult reservations may be limited to allow more children to ride. If necessary, we will limit one adult per family.

*This event will not be rescheduled if we have bad weather.

We need VOLUNTEERS for this event. If you would like to help, please email the HOA at [email protected]. For our high school volunteers, you will receive Give Me Five credit.

Hi Eagle Point,

Deputy Wheeler from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office wanted to pass along a friendly HOLIDAY REMINDER to residents in the Eagle Pointer. With the Holiday season in full swing just be aware of suspicious vehicles following mail trucks/delivery trucks as well as driving slowly through the neighborhood. Some people are package shopping and looking to grab whatever the mail man/ delivery truck leaves behind.

Annual Eagle Point Home Owners Association Dues will be $275.00 this year. Due on January 31^st, 2018. (1/31/2018)

Carriage Rides and Cookies with Santa

Cookies with Santa is from 4-7 PM on Sunday, December 10^th. For those who would still like to still book a time with your family to ride the CARRIAGEthere are still spots available from 5PM -7PM. Santa on a Fire Truck

Cahaba Valley Fire will be in Eagle Point on December 23 at 8:30 AM bringing Santa through the neighborhood!!! Santa will be throwing candy to the children. So bring your kids and WAVE as he passes. Click here to see his route.

HOLIDAY OFFERS!! We are excited to announce Holiday Offers for the Eagle Point Swim & Tennis Club. CURRENT MEMBERS: The first 30 members to pay 2018 annual fees by January 30th receive a $25 Snack Shack Gift Card - which is a great stocking stuffer! (Reminder - 2018 dues are $550 for residents, $575 for non-residents). You will also be entered to win a Free Pool Party for up to 50 guests! NEW MEMBERS will receive half off the regularly $500 Initiation Fee if they join before January 30^th. They will also receive a $25 Snack Shack Gift Card and Enter to win the pool party. Members, remember, you will receive a $100 referral fee if a family you recommend joins! Also, remember we have payment options! Make checks payable to EPST. Hi Eagle Point!!

EPHOA 2018 Dues $275.00

Please look in your mailbox for the Annual Eagle Point Homeowners Association Dues letter. You will find in this mailing a letter from the HOA President, the proposed budget for 2018, your annual invoice (green paper), and a ballot (blue card). On the blue card, please, double check your contact information and make sure it is correct. On this blue card, check the boxes if you would like to receive Alerts from the Shelby County Sheriff's office in form of a text or an email. Please list your mobile number if you would like to receive a text or your email if you would like to receive it that way. The HOA sends out weekly communication in the form of a newsletter, The Eagle Pointer. This is a great way to know and understand what is going on in the neighborhood! Also, on this card there is a ballot, please vote by checking the boxes by the names listed and return with your payment. The Annual dues this year are $275.00. You will find a green invoice that lists the 2018 EPHOA dues and also a list of other fees if you are not up to date. Return your payment with the blue card and/or green invoice by close of business on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Payment after this date and time will be considered late and your next invoice will include a $50 late fee. If you do not receive this mailing by next week, please contact the HOA Office at [email protected]. You are responsible for payment whether you receive the mailing or not.

7 Days Until Christmas EP!!!

Christmas Decorations

The HOA is looking for the 3 BEST Decorated Houses in Eagle Point. If you would like to participate, you have until Friday to finish decorating your house. 1^st place winner will get a $100.00 Gift Card to THE MELTING POT, 2^nd Place winner will get a $50.00 gift card to REVOLVE, and 3^rd place winner will get a $25.00 gift card to WINGS!!

There are several great streets and houses already in the running for the BEST Decorated. Plan a family OUTING and drive around the neighborhood to view the Christmas lights. Even day time has some very pretty decorations. Way to be Festive and Decorate Eagle Point. Several streets that have gone all out are Eagle Crest Court, Eagle Crest Circle (or AKA Candy Cane Lane), a house on Eagle Valley Drive has lights set to music and a house on Eagle Club Cove has a Movie projected in their window! Go have fun Eagle Point and enjoy your neighbors creativity.

Solicitors

Below is a good reason to be careful of solicitors in Eagle Point!!

I'd like to send out an alert to neighbors, if possible, regarding a yard team that is going through the neighborhood today in a black truck. They are pulling a huge cart with pine straw. We needed pine straw badly, so I agreed. They would charge just over $6.00 per bail, but that included their labor, pulling weeds, etc. I figured that the max needed would be 50 bails. I was SHOCKED and angry when he announced that they had used 411 bails!!!! He was going to charge me over $2500.00!!! I refused! I paid him an amount (a young guy whose name was Mario, but the check was to be written to a Kyle Blukely?) and got them off my property. I am INFURIATED and felt absolutely violated. It is a common thing for men in trucks to come through Eagle Point, offering to lay pine straw. Sometimes, this makes things quite convenient. Other times, it's such a pain dealing with salesmen who tell you how bad your yard looks.

Garbage Pick up

If your GARBAGE was not picked up on Wednesday morning, please send the EPHOA Admin your address to [email protected] . The office has a call into WastePro. It would help speed things up if you send your address...so the Admin can make sure WastePro comes to your location. Also, if your garbage was picked up Wednesday, please remove your garbage cans from the street...so WastePro knows which to pick up!! Also, they will pick up next Wednesday morning January, 3^rd. This is for regular garbage and recycled garbage.

Burning

We have had several complaints about residents burning in Eagle Point. Please remember that there is NO BURNING in the neighborhood. North Shelby Fire and Cahaba Valley Fire work very hard for the communityplease save them some time because it is possible they will be called to your house if you are openly burning!

Eagle Point Neighborhood Alert!!!!

We have had a report of a rabid raccoon removed from The Crest area today. The raccoon was wandering around for a couple of days in The Crest neighborhood. It appeared drunk, walking around in circles, and lethargic. A Sheriffs Deputy took care of the situation but please be watchful of yourself, children and pets. If you see any animal behaving strangely please notify Animal Control at 205-669-8766 or if they are unavailable contact the Shelby County Sheriffs Office at 205-669-4181 and please also send an email to the Eagle Point HOA office at [email protected] or call the office at 205-314-5793 . Please do not get near an animal that you think is acting strangely.
