Eagle Pointer
Hi Eagle Point...below some info on upcoming events and a note from the EPHOA - ARCC!
2019 Eagle Point Fall Festival
On Sunday,
October 27th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Eagle Point Homeowners Association is
bringing back its EPHOA Annual Fall Festival! We
will have deputies from the Shelby County Sheriff Department, including some of
the K-9 corps. Theres also the possibility of the helicopter landing
nearby! The Cahaba Valley Fire Department will be here with their hook
and ladder reaching to the sky! We will even have live music by several
resident Eagle Point musicians. For the kids, we are having hay rides,
inflatables, and face painting. We are excited to offer A Taste of Eagle
Point, with food provided by local restaurants. The restaurants that we
have a commitment from will provide a wonderful sample of their signature menu
items. Look for the return of the Business Expo, featuring local
businesses in and around Eagle Point.
The
garage sale is schedule for Saturday, September 14th. Put the traditional red balloon on your mailbox so buyers
know youre participating! The HOA will be providing dumpsters over
the garage sale weekend; we will let you know closer to time where theyll be
placed and for what time period.
- Fall is approaching, and its a great time for all of us to refresh our yards! I know my yard is scheduled for pine straw in September! Please remove dead trees and shrubs and cut back anything thats encroaching on your home or a neighbors property.
- Im also redoing the numbers on my mailbox and giving it a fresh coat of paint (again); I encourage everyone to make sure the numbers on your mailbox are easy to read, not just for looks but for emergency services should you ever need them!
- Street parking continues to be an issue in some areas of the neighborhood. Please try to comply with the covenant that requires parking in your garage or driveway. Our garbage service and postal serviced, bus drivers, and first responders are all affected by this! The amount of time it adds to garbage can emptying and mail delivery can be significant in some areas, and it shows a lot of disrespect to them. We continue to emphasize how important it is that first responders not be delayed by street parking - we dont want a tragedy that could be easily prevented!
- Common courtesy dictates that you clean up after
your pet when you walk them, but this courtesy is all too often
not common in Eagle Point. We get repeated complaints from residents
about neighbors leaving their dogs waste in someones yard.
PLEASE clean up after your dog!!! If you forget a bag - then
go get one and go back - its that simple!
