Eagle Pointer re: Mailboxes and other maintenance items
(This email is sent to a distribution list. It is intended as information for all recipients, not as a directive to any specific recipient.)
Last week, the management agency for our HOA sent out its initial round of letters regarding legible numbers on mailboxes. This week, they will be sending out letters regarding mailboxes with missing parts, broken parts, and faded paint. The letters contain information about where to get mailbox parts and what kind of paint to use. If you receive a letter regarding one of these issues, please call the office at 205-314-5793 to advise when you’ve made the repair.
As the growing season progresses, lawn maintenance and weed issues become more apparent. We ask that each resident comply with our covenants regarding cutting grass, pruning shrubs, and controlling weeds. Properly maintained yards help property values and make your neighbors happy too!
We’ve had a few calls recently about garbage cans being left curbside for extended periods of time. Unless there is a chronic problem, we usually don’t have to address this covenant. Please be aware that there are a small number of lots within Eagle Point that are not part of Eagle Point HOA and therefore not subject to our covenants. Some of those non-HOA residents were happy to comply when told about this issue, but others reminded us that they are not subject to our covenants and do not have to comply. We monitor this issue but can’t address certain lots.
As always, if you receive a violation letter that you believe is in error, simply call the office to resolve the issue or get more details on how to comply. Communication is the easiest way to a solution.
